SHARJAH: Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather shared photographs of spending his luxury time in the UAE on his social media platform. The unannounced visit has sparked speculation about his bout with boxer Manny Pacquiao in the UAE at year-end.

The former world welterweight champion Mayweather posted pictures of himself on Instagram and captioned it “Sheikh Zayed Mosque #AbuDhabi…”

He also shared images of his whereabouts-in Dubai desert, walking camels with the caption, “Life has its ups & downs like the humps on a camel back 🐫🐫 #Dubai.”

Last month, Mayweather said he would face Pacquiao later this year in a rematch of their 2015 superfight.

In a posting on Instagram, Mayweather said he would come out of retirement to fight Pacquiao, three years after scoring a comfortable points victory over the veteran Filipino.

“I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year, another 9-figure pay day on the way,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram. No further details were given.

Mayweather retired later in 2015 after his 49th victory but returned to the ring last year for a lucrative victory over mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor.

McGregor hadn't been in a fight since losing his boxing match with Mayweather last year, and Nurmagomedov proved an insurmountably tough opponent for his comeback.
