AJMAN: The CID team of Ajman Police managed to arrest three Asian residents who had earlier attempted to decamp with an ATM machine that was housed in one of the banks in the emirate.
The details of the case date back to the time when the CID received a tipoff reporting that the convicts had attempted to open an ATM machine with the use of welding equipment consisting of two gas cylinders and iron cutting tools to cut open the ATM machine’s safe.
Accordingly, a CID team was immediately constituted to conduct a search for those involved in the crime.
The CID team later managed to effect the arrest of the three thieves after they found the robbers’ car had been parked in a residential area of the emirate.
After due interrogations by police, the three Asians admitted to the accusations that were brought against them. The case was then referred to the Public Prosecution.
