Indian state lures investors seeking high returns

DUBAI: The North Indian state of Haryana, which is among the top two states in terms of the ease of doing business rankings this year, has investment projects worth more than $25 billion awaiting foreign investment. Business leaders from the UAE can avail the opportunity to earn high returns by investing in projects like KMP Express highway, Global city, logistics, metros, aviation hub, said chief minister of the state Manohar Lal Khattar.

Khattar, who was on a three-day visit to the UAE to attract NRI investors, said that the state government is committed to create a progressive business environment.

Addressing leading Indian businessmen at a reception hosted by the Business Leaders Forum (BLF) in Dubai, the visiting leader said that the state offers a wide range of fiscal and policy incentives for businesses under the Industrial and Investment Policy, 2011.

He invited the business leaders to invest in prominent sectors namely infrastructure, affordable housing, knowledge industry, IT, biotechnology, agriculture and food processing.

Khattar said, “Haryana is on the job to deliver all-round development of all parts of the state and a graft-free, transparent, responsive and public-friendly administration. Welfare of the common man, especially the two-pronged strategy for the development of the state: assist the farmers while developing industries and create jobs in the state.”

As the state has been working in bridging gender gap for a stable society, the state has a proposal for putting up girls college every 20km in the rural areas and with 27,000 doctors in requisite, Haryana has huge potential in education and healthcare.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri, Consul General of India in Dubai Vipul, BLF President Dr. Azad Moopen, BLF Sector Chairman Sudesh Aggarwal, BLF Secretary General Sripriyaa Kumaria were also present on the occasion.
