DUBAI: The thirteenth edition of the Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) kicked off on Saturday at the Novotel Hotel-Dubai World Trade Centre with nine eminent speakers from the United States, Chile, Lebanon and Germany.
The 2013 DWDM pre-conference courses occur before AEEDC Conference and Exhibition and cover the fields of Periodontology, Restorative/Aesthetic, Endodontics, Orthodontology, Implantology and infection control.
Dr Nasser Al Malik, chairman of the AEEDC Dubai Conference, explained that the DWDM is an educational pre-conference meeting, running prior to the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition-AEEDC Dubai, which is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority.
With the continued outstanding success of the DWDM courses during the past 12 years and due to the high demand from dental professionals of the region, the DWDM scientific committee is challenged every year to put up an outstanding programme for participants who attend from all parts of the region and the world.
“The DWDM is a continuing education programme organised by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est.
“The courses are a great opportunity for the dental professionals to learn from the leaders of the dental community,” said Dr Al Malik.
He added: “This year we are expecting more than 220 dentists to register, we have a full programme this year covering a majority of key topics in the field of dentistry.
