Dubai Pro Jiu-Jitsu C’ship kicks off on Dec.8

Dubai: Under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Dubai, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee (NOC); the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced the launch of the fifth edition of the Dubai International Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championship for the 2017-2018 season.

The Championship will take place at the Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club on Dec.8-9, 2017. The first day of the Championship will be dedicated to No Gi competitions, while the second day will feature Gi competitions.

The federation highlighted the importance of hosting this international event in Dubai, which has become a steady fixture on the federation’s annual agenda. The Championship is an important event for athletes, and counts towards the UAE Federation’s classification points.

Commenting on the ocassion, Mansoor Al Dhaheri, Board Member of the UAEJJF, expressed gratitude to Sheikh Ahmed for his gracious patronage of the event, and his unlimited support to Jiu-Jitsu in Dubai.
