Emirati rescued after crash

AJMAN: The Ajman Civil Defence have rescued a 20-year-old Emirati who was stuck inside his car after colliding with a heavy truck at around 12.45am, late on Thursday night, on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road. The vehicle was totally mangled.

The young driver, who suffered moderate injuries, miraculously survived the terrible impact. He was immediately shifted to hospital after the Ajman Civil Defence succeeded in extricating him from the car.

Unveiling details of the incident, Major Saleh Salem Bin Askoof Al Suwaidi, a Civil Defence official, said that the operations room received a call late on Thursday night about the collision.

“A team from the Civil Defence immediately rushed to the accident site and used special tools and machines to safely remove the motorist who was injured due to the heavy impact of the collision with the heavy truck.”

The Ajman Police were probing the accident.
