Rashid stars as England maul Pakistan in decider to clinch Twenty20 series

Adil Rashid took a career-best 4-35 to set up a victory against Pakistan in the third and final T20 match on Tuesday.

England restricted Pakistan to 154/6 and held their nerve to chase down the target for the loss of seven wickets with two balls top spare.

With the victory, England capped a remarkable come-back an wrapped up the three-match series 2-1 after going down in the first game.

Rashid triggered the slide as Pakistan kept on losing the wickets at regular interval and were restricted to 154 Pakistani batsmen failed to convert their starts into big scores except Mohammad Rizwan who smashed a gritty 76.

England in reply got off to a fantastic start and the opener set the tone for comfortable chase with a 67-run stand for the first wicket.

England got the partnership going but a wobble toward the end of the innings derailed the chase and put them in the peril. They lost three wickets with in the space of eight runs before Chris Jordan hit the winning shot to all but end Pakistan hopes of winning a series on English soil.
