Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will join chambers of commerce from around the world in Rio de Janeiro for the 11th World Chambers Congress (WCC) where members of the global chambers community will gather on June 12th- June 14th 2019.
The WCC is the world’s largest gathering of chambers of commerce and the upcoming Congress in Rio will be attended by 1,200 participants from 100 countries, including chamber leaders, business heads and key government figures.
Dubai Chamber is supporting the 11th WCC as a Diamond Sponsor and exhibitor. From its stand at the Congress, Dubai Chamber will showcase Dubai’s competitive advantages and reputation as a global business hub. In his capacity as Chairman of the ICC World Chambers Federation, Dubai Chamber’s President & CEO Hamad Buamim will address chamber leaders at the opening ceremony of the Congress, where he will highlight the importance of cooperation in addressing key challenges facing the global chambers community and developing innovative solutions that can enhance the competitiveness of chambers and their respective members.
In addition, Buamim will participate in high-level meetings and key sessions throughout the three-day event.
More than 80 speakers will take part in 25 interactive discussions, sessions and workshops during the Congress which will be held under the theme “Creating a Shared Future” and tackle a wide range of timely topics and issues such as digital transformation, trade benefits of blockchain technology, e-commerce opportunities, action taken by chambers on climate change and the changing dynamic of education and workforce talent, among other important matters.
The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is the ICC’s global forum uniting the global network of 12,000 chambers and their respective business communities. The WCF provides a platform for chamber leaders to communicate and collaborate with each other on matters of mutual interest and facilitating beneficial partnerships.
Meanwhile, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recently announced the formation of the Car Dealers Business Group which aims to unite the voices of member companies, serve common interests and foster public-private sector dialogue on important matters impacting the auto sector in Dubai.
The new business group will provide an ideal platform for companies operating in this space to voice their concerns and share their feedback on regulation impacting industry stakeholders with the support and guidance of Dubai Chamber. The Car Dealers Business Group, the 31st sector-focused business group to be launched under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber, was recently inaugurated during a kick-off meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters in the presence of Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber; senior Dubai Chamber officials; and top executives from AWRostamani Automotive Group; Al Ghandi Auto; Galadari Brothers Co. LLC; Al Naboodah Automobiles; AGMC; Gargash Enterprises; Hyundai; Al Habtoor Motors; Al Tayer Motors; Union Motors; Al Naboodah Group Enterprises; Galadari Automobiles; KIA; and Al Rostamani Group.
