In line with its commitment to play a key role in further advancing Dubai’s leadership in global trade and e-commerce, Dubai South will bring to the spotlight the emirate’s advanced logistics connectivity and innovation among a global network of transport, logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management companies when it participates at the Transport Logistic Exhibitions in Munich from June 4 to 7, 2019. It will showcase major projects under Dubai South’s Logistics District which provide various business solutions.
Dubai continues to lead globally in terms of attracting foreign direct investments (FDI) as it increased by 41% in 2018, valued at Dhs 38.5 billion considering its pioneering efforts in innovation and digital transformation. From 2015 to 2018, the emirate has attracted a total of $21.6 billion worth of FDI in advanced technology transfers. It also continues to surpass leading economies such as the US, UK and South Korea in the Smart Service Index, having achieved sixth in the global rankings.
Dubai South’s multi model Logistics District provides seamless access to seaports, airports and major roads, reflecting its advanced connectivity and flexibility. It has created various solutions such as ready-to-occupy and built-to-suit options for various types of business operations such warehouses and distribution centers. As well offering various office solutions through its facilities at The Business Park, a complex of 11 modern buildings equipped with state-of-the art amenities just right at the entrance of Dubai South.
The Logistics District highlights the ease of doing business in Dubai as setting up companies take minimum processing time, supported by onsite licensing for setting businesses and a dedicated branch for visa and residencies arrangements under the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, apart from an e-portal which facilitates all forms of online services. Logistics District is also the home of EZDubai, the 920,000 square-metre purpose-built e-commerce zone which seeks to boost the e- commerce sector in the region and serve as an integrator for e-commerce related businesses.

In recognition to the importance of labor work in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in the UAE, Dubai South in partnership with the Dubai Dental Hospital, recently organized a Labor Day program which focused on promoting good health and wellbeing among laborers, in line with its commitment to contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event was held at the Dubai South, Business Park Building.
Dubai South’s Logistics District hosted the event which was aimed at boosting UAE’s efforts in meeting SDG 3, an international goal seeking to ensure good health and wellbeing for all as well as SDG 17 which is focused on increasing partnerships to achieving SDGs. It conducted a dental screening and oral hygiene awareness campaign in partnership with the Dubai Dental Hospital for all labor employees working within the District.
Dubai Dental Hospital provided one dentist, who is a faculty member at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences’ dental college the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine, along with two endodontics residents, and assistants during the campaign.
