The Standing Committee for Economic Development (SCED) of the Executive Council of Ajman held its eighth meeting in 2019 under the chairmanship of Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Head of the the Committee. The latest developments in the economic affairs of the emirate and the major tourism projects were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the SCED’s members: Sheikh Sultan Bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Ali Issa Al Nuaimi and Salem Al Suwaidi, besides representatives from the Municipality and Planning Department, the Department of Economic Development and the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman.
Commencing the meeting, Abdullah Al Muwaiji praised the Committee’s efforts in following up the developments of the economic sector in the emirate, and recommending the best practices for the projects and innovative services that promote the growth and development of the emirate’s economy.
The agenda began with a presentation by the Municipality and Planning Department-Ajman on the projects implemented in the area of Masfout, which serve the community and visitors. The attendees stressed the importance of directing investors to Masfoot and providing the possible incentives and facilitations for the business community, as well as introducing the most important investment and tourism opportunities. They also hailed the Municipality’s efforts to establish pioneering projects that strengthen the area’s competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the DED-Ajman presented a demo on the latest developments in the adoption of targeted economic sectors of high priority and the investment opportunities available for foreign investment within the 122 positive activities of the Ministry of Economy, in addition to the controls and conditions required for each activity.
