The Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC), an arm of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during the first half of this year, organised 9 programmes and workshops dedicated to its members and the new female entrepreneurs focusing on marketing, feasibility studies, quality control and others. This was revealed by Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC).
She explained that the Council is keen to diversify its services and initiatives to cope with aspirations and ambitions of female entrepreneurs and its members.
“The Rofoof initiative that aims to support the Council’s members and promote their products through various outlets in the emirate has witnessed a remarkable development reflecting its importance by opening of two permanent sales outlets at Ajman Markets Cooperative Soceity and the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman,” Dr Amna added.
The Council is also keen to increase the organisation of the “Riyoqi” initiative to provide its businesswomen members with the opportunity to serve food and drinks (Riyoqi) to employees and customers of government departments and private entities in the emirate of Ajman, she added.
Moreover, the first half of this year saw organisation of “Sayrati” initiative, which is organised by AJBWC. It is a zero interest auto-loan with registration and insurance, aiming to enable the initiative’s beneficiaries to start their own business, thus ensures stability to them and their families. The number of beneficiaries has reached 9 so far since its beginning, Dr Amna said.
She continued, “AJBWC is keen to organise exhibitions and to participate in various exhibitions outside the emirate in order to activate the channels linking businesswomen and members of the Council to the local community, in addition to overcoming obstructions facing them in marketing their products. The Council organised and participated in six exhibitions during the first half of 2019.”
