Global technology giants are showcasing the latest products and innovations at the 39th Gitex Technology Week, which opened on Sunday in Dubai.
The exhibition features over 4,500 companies representing 100 countries is highlighting the Industry hot topics like 5G, artificial intelligence, automation and e-commerce etc.
Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and Department of Finance (DoF) on Sunday during Gitex signed an agreement with Automation Anywhere, a global leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to digitise government services using software bots.
ADDA & DoF will leverage Automation Anywhere’s expertise in the RPA industry to support increased skill development within the government sector to increase productivity and improve customer services.
The MoU will enable thought leadership engagement for ADDA and DoF, with in-depth studies of challenges faced by government and private businesses that can be enabled by RPA. The thought leadership program will seek to build capacity within ADDA through several resources, including A-People, Automation Anywhere University and Automation Anywhere Public sector thought leaders.

For the first time in Abu Dhabi, Automation Anywhere will co-host ‘The month of Robotic Process Automation Program (Build-a-bot)’. The hands-on experience will enable digital talent, allowing unparalleled access to the tools and solutions to improve government services while creating new efficiencies. Training up to 40 government entities over a span of one-month, Automation Anywhere University will help boost the future of Abu Dhabi government services and build new ways to engage with citizens in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, ADDA has unveiled its new Abu Dhabi Data Management Program (DMP), a new data-centric open data platform and open data sharing ecosystem, during its participation at the 39th edition of Gitex Technology Week. The Data Management Platform, which falls within the Open Data initiative under Abu Dhabi’s Development Accelerator program, Ghadan 21 is envisioned to help unlock the high value potential of government entities’ rich and dynamic data sets-bringing the UAE capital’s digitization agenda into full realization.
Separately, du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has announced a partnership with Exponent Technology Solutions to deliver bespoke Drones as a Service (DaaS) and Drone Traffic Control Centre solutions to match the emerging need for Drone Powered Business Solutions (DPBS) across the United Arab Emirates’ various industries. In collaboration with Exponent Technology Services, du’s DaaS platform will power a new variety of applications to ensure Dubai reaches the intended milestone of becoming the happiest and smartest city in the world.

NNTC, UAE-based IT solution provider, software developer also demonstrating its latest solution like iFalcon Face Control Mobile and Digital worker at Gitex. The company’s iFalcon Face Control Mobile, the world’s first fully autonomous AI-powered face recognition system integrated with AR smart glasses on display. It is designed for law enforcement officers and security guards on patrol.
Digital worker is an industrial safety platform that aggregates data coming from video analytics, wearable smart devices, access control and SCADA systems. It detects potentially dangerous behavior, alerts a command center operator, and offers response options. The platform significantly reduces production and occupational risks, ensuring safety and better working conditions.
“We will showcase samples of our industrial virtual reality training. It immerses people in VR environment to learn complex operations and simulate all kinds of emergencies. This ultra-realistic training reduces injury rate, equipment downtime, and in case of emergency can save lives. We also displayed our software combining autonomous drone flight and AI-powered video analytics., said Dmitry Doshaniy, General Manager at NNTC .
