The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) received an economic delegation from Yueyang city, Hunan Province — People’s Republic of China, with the aim of enhancing the economic cooperation and exploring the investment opportunities available to both parties in various fields.
Mohammad Ali Al-Janahi, Executive Director of the Promotion and Investment Division, received the delegation that was led by Xu Yunbo - Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, while comprised a number of government officials and owners of companies and factories in the city.
Among the attendees at the meeting were Aysha Hilal, Director of Information and Economic Studies Department, and Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Relations and Member Support Office at Ajman Chamber.
During the meeting, Al Janahi praised the depth of the UAE-China relations in general and the ties between Ajman and Hunan Province in particular, which are witnessing successive developments on the economic level that was reinforced by holding several meetings, conclusion of agreements and exchange of visits between both parties.
Al Janahi also briefed the delegation on the most powerful elements that the emirate of Ajman enjoys, as well as its distinguished location in the country. He shed light on the industrial sector in the emirate, which contributes 33 per cent to its GDP. He further explained that the statistics are remarkably promising the possibility of increasing commercial cooperation between the two parties in the future. Moreover, he pointed to the development of the real estate, building and construction sectors taking place in emirate and the investment opportunities available in Al-Zorah area and the new areas in the emirate as well.
Al Janahi praised the guidance of the wise leadership in providing the necessary ingredients and integrated infrastructure to ensure the competitiveness of the emirate’s economic environment, as well as harnessing efforts of the government departments to facilitate the procedures for the Chinese business community, particularly in the tourism, health and education sectors that are promising numerous investment opportunities.
The attendees were also briefed on the most important exhibitions organised by the Ajman Chamber, including the Future Build Exhibition, which showcases the latest construction technology and real estate development, as well as introducing the cutting-edge tools through a group of leading companies in this sector.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al-Nuaimi presented an overview of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition, which serves as an international platform allowing the cooperation between local universities and Chinese universities.
“The exhibition represents an important opportunity for the exchange of educational delegations between the Emirate of Ajman and Yueyang City - Hunan Province,” he added.
For his part, Xu Yunbo thanked the Ajman Chamber for the warm reception stressing importance of the meeting and its role in boosting the ongoing process of cooperation between Ajman and Hunan.
The Chinese delegation also gave an overview of the advantages and features of Yueyang City, its most important industries and the investment opportunities available in all fields, as well as an overview of the various exhibitions organised in the city.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged shields and souvenirs, and emphasized the necessity of intensifying visits and organizing joint meetings to enhance the direct communication between businessmen of the two countries, so that the volume of trade and economic cooperation will increase.
Earlier a delegation from the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) participated in the Egypt-UAE Forum for Trade and Investment, which was held in Cairo, Egypt. The Forum was organised by the Egyptian-UAE Business Council, the UAE Ministry of Economy and the UAE International Investors Council (UAEIIC) with a remarkable presence of a large number of senior officials and businessmen of both countries.
The ACCI was represented by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Board Member, and Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of Relations and Member Support Office.
Dr Amna stated that the Ajman Chamber’s delegation was keen during its participation to hold several bilateral meetings with a group of officials and businessmen from the sisterly country Egypt to explore the opportunities available in various fields, and to highlight the most promising sectors in Ajman.
