The Chairwoman of Ajman Businesswoman Council (AJBWC), Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, stressed the Council’s keenness to enhance its partnerships and cooperation with all government and private institutions to ensure provision of a range of pioneering services and initiatives that serve its members. It also strives to meet their aspirations by implementing various programmes and workshops in training, consulting and marketing, in addition to providing a package of discounts on various products, according to the activities, she added.
Dr Amna also explained that the AJBWC has signed a number of memoranda of understanding (MoU) recently with a number of institutions to boost business of its members and to develop their skills. Those agreements are in line with the initiatives that the Council will implement during the year 2020. The next year would include three new initiatives. The first is called “Nowasalk” (we transport you), which provides a trailer through which a businesswoman can market her product easier and better. The second is “Deyafa” (hospitality), which displays local products in a modern style, while the third is “Anaqa” (elegance), which is a fashion design workshop.
The Council signed an MoU with the Dubai Entrepreneurship Academy by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, and Ibtihal Al-Naji, Director of the Academy. The memorandum provided for discounts on all training programmes offered by the Academy for members the council, in addition to exchanging knowledge, expertise and professional experiences, with the coordination to organise various programmes and training workshops for businesswomen.
It also signed an MoU with “Kawkab Alchocolata”, by Dr Amna, and Maysoon Abu Shakra, Executive Director. The agreement stipulated to enhance the cooperation and to carry out various training workshops that would develop skills of women. It also stipulated implementation of a workshop targeting women of determination.
Another MoU was signed with “Mister Trailers for Steel Works”, which stipulated the organisation of training workshops targeting the Council’s members with the discounts on kiosks and trailers.
Furthermore, the Council signed a third MoU with the Fashion Adviser - Saeed Al Karam Al-Omari, with the aim of providing consultations and carrying out high-level specialised workshops and training courses in fashion design.
Dr. Amna commended the keenness of many parties to cooperate with the AJBWC, believing in the important role of businesswomen in developing the national economy and its diversity. She also stressed that the multiplicity of cooperation channels would reinforce the quality, diversity and excellence of their products with creativity and innovation.
Earlier the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) of Ajman Chamber organised a forum titled “Ambitious” under the slogan “Harvest - Opportunities — Sustainability”.
The forum aims at enhancing the direct communication of businesswomen and to review the plans and programmes of the Council for the year 2020, in addition to providing a platform enriching experiences of entrepreneurs.
Held in Ajman, the forum was attended by Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC, Salim Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber, Nasser Al Dhafari, Executive Director of Communication and Member Support at Ajman Chamber, Aysha Khalfan Al Nuaimi Vice-Chairman of the AJBWC, board members of AJBWC, Shafiqa Al-Amri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBC), Hawra Al-Boosh, Secretary General and Director of the Arab Women Pioneers Network and a number of members of ADBC. In addition, representatives of government and private institutions and 150 entrepreneurs and businesswomen attended the forum.
Speaking to the attendees, Dr. Amna stressed the AJBWC’s utmost readiness to contribute to the “Towards the Next 50” initiative, which was launched by the wise leadership. Such announcement would stimulate all institutions and individuals to continue the path of building and growth, and to work hard and efficiently, she added.
She also stressed the Council’s keenness to communicate with its members and entrepreneurs through direct channels, noting that the Forum serves as a brainstorming session that sheds light on the achievements and outcomes of the AJBWC during the previous years. Moreover, it would brief the attendees about its plans, as well as reviewing the creative proposals and ideas generated by the audience, Dr Amna said.
She presented a working paper titled “Harvest” in which indicated that the number of Bedayat License holders reached 310 during three years, while the total number of the license issued by it exceeded 1,000.
