Dubai is an exceptional city where the infrastructure and high-quality logistics services are the best of its kind in the region, as well as the most advanced infrastructure communication and technology networks, which give Dubai a competitive edge.
The city of wonders has established a strong startup ecosystem that attracted leading international brands to invest in the emirate’s technology sector. Dubai has emerged as a strong hub for technology sector by attracting top brands into the emirate.
Businesses across the globe are struggling to find their footing in a disrupted environment, however technology can build the path to recovery and growth, industry experts say.
Technology specialists underlined the importance of technology in the wake of the global pandemic that has reshaped the lifestyle and working culture worldwide. They further said ongoing crisis has also changed the way businesses approach customers to get their feedback on products and services.
Referring to McKinsey, industry thought leaders and think tanks suggest five bold moves that can help consumer companies withstand disruptions. This includes restructuring the organisation, streamlining operations, reallocating resources according to priorities, deploying agile practices, embracing automation, and making the most of remote working.
In Dubai, a tech company called Loyica developed a CRM software called Saphyte to provide companies with the technology to smartly connect to their customers.
“Consumer-facing companies or even businesses with B2B models must be able to provide a strong complaint feedback loop because consumer needs and preferences are now changing at a rapid pace,” says Ali Homadi, Founder and CEO at Loyica.
“To stay ahead of the competition, businesses must be able to collect data and feedback from their customers to quickly improve their products and services before the competition does,” he said.
Amit Nayyar, founder at Nautilus Solutions, said
Saphyte allows the company to manage everything in one central place.
“The fact that it’s local, accessible for SMEs and customizable to our business helped us better manage leads and prospects and be more productive as a sales team enabling us to make better strategic decisions,” he said.
“We find the user interface really easy and simple and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to automate their sales processes,” he said.
“Before Saphyte CRM we were using multiple tools for the management of our leads, prospects and customers. This was too difficult to manage and as a result we were losing leads and prospects,” he added.
Accenture recently published a report that said part of the post-coronavirus technology trends that they have identified is the need for enterprises to update their personalisation strategies for them to keep up. They have also predicted that enterprises that start building personalised, interactive, and shared virtual communities today are more likely to be successful in the future.
The need for a technology like Saphyte has many businesses turn to tech companies like Loyica. The company has reported an increase in customer base, with clients looking for innovative ways to engage customers in a disrupted environment.
“Businesses need flexibility to adapt to changing conditions. Technologies that enable collaboration, communication, and seamless access to data, tools, and other resources are crucial for business continuity and excellent customer service,” says Stephanie Schoenherr, Project Manager at Saphyte.
With many SMEs reeling from the impact of the pandemic, Loyica believes that offering one-on-one support to businesses will pave the road to recovery.
“Many of our clients rely on outdated techniques that create so much inefficiency and unnecessary costs for their business,” says Joshua Yates, Sales Director at Saphyte.
In May, South Asia reported the highest cases of business closure, with about 46% SMBs affected. The MENA region reported a 36% business closure rate.
“Our support comes in at a crucial time where SMEs’ operations are affected by the lockdowns. Because the environment is very much different now, we try to teach our clients how to adapt to the new normal using technology by training SMEs to collaborate, coordinate, and engage customers online using Saphyte,” added Yates.
