ABU DHABI: The volume of non-oil trade exchange between the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Sultanate of Oman through the emirate’s ports reached Dhs23.67 billion during the past five years, which reflects the growing economic relations between the two brotherly countries, in a way that enhances the process of sustainable development, according to General Administration of Customs in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi’s foreign trade with the Sultanate of Oman was distributed to imports with a value of Dhs8.34 billion, exports with a value of Dhs8.08 billion, and re-exports with a value of Dhs7.25 billion, while mineral products accounted for the largest share of total trade between Abu Dhabi and the Sultanate of Oman with a value of Dhs5.25 billion, followed by ordinary minerals and their products with a value of Dhs4.85 billion. It was followed by transportation equipment, with a value of Dhs4.72 billion.
Abu Dhabi’s trade with the Sultanate of Oman during the first ten months of this year amounted to Dhs4.55 billion, a growth of 38% compared to the same period last year, which amounted to Dhs 3.30 billion.
Abu Dhabi’s trade with the Sultanate of Oman was distributed within 10 months to imports with a value of Dhs1.92 billion, a growth of 48% compared to Dhs1.30 billion in the same period in 2019, exports with a value of Dhs1.66 billion, a growth of 39% compared to Dhs1.19 billion, and re-exports with a value of Dhs973.44 million, a growth of 21%.
The General Administration of Customs in Abu Dhabi confirmed its readiness and preparations to receive the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman through the border outlets in line with the directives of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .
