The Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) held its second meeting for 2021 with Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Council in the chair, to discuss progress of work and to review outputs of the ongoing projects and initiatives, as well as approving schedule for the next activities.
The meeting was held at AJBWC’s premises at the Ajman Entrepreneurship Centre in the presence of members of the Council’s board of directors.
After welcoming the attendees, Dr Amna affirmed the Council’s keenness to intensify the efforts and to diversify its services and initiatives that serve its members and the businesswomen in general. She also praised the unlimited support of the leadership to empower the businesswomen by creating a growth-stimulant environment for their business.
The attendees then approved the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by reviewing the statistics of the Bedayat license during the first quarter of this year.
They were also briefed about the AJBWC’s achievements. The Council since the beginning of 2021 signed three memoranda of cooperation and understanding with the Ajman Statistics and Competitiveness Centre, the Continuing Education Centre at the UAE University and the Nine Training centre in Bahrain. This was part of the AJBWC’s plan to strengthen its partnerships with various entities with the aim of providing various services for the members.
The meeting also discussed outcomes of the Serbian Businesswomen Council’s visit during which the cooperation and exchange of experiences were discussed.
It also aimed at highlighting the investment opportunities and the marketing platform of the Ajman Entrepreneurship Centre. This was in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council.
The AJBWC’s Board of Directors was also briefed on the harvest of the initiatives implemented during the first quarter of this year, including the “Raiyouqi” initiative, which offers food and beverages (Al Raiyouq) to employees of government and private establishments from the Council’s partners.
Among the initiatives are “Rofoof” which is carried out in cooperation with the Ajman Markets Cooperative Society through a marketing platform for businesswomen’s products, and “Laqtah” initiative that provides a professional photography service for the council members’ products.
The meeting further discussed the work plan of the Ajman Entrepreneurship Centre with Khalid Al Shamsi, Director of the Centre. Al Shamsi reviewed the Centre’s services, including an integrated marketing platform for entrepreneurs, a permanent exhibition, meeting and conference rooms and an innovation centre.
They praised the importance of the Centre and its role in developing the business of entrepreneurs through a sustainable marketing platform that promotes their products and services, as well as enhancing the exchange of experiences and ideas between them.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the board of directors’ members toured the “Ramadan Brings Us Together” exhibition at the Ajman Entrepreneurship Centre, accompanied by a number of businesswomen from the Council’s member. They also participated in the activities of “Haqu-Allailah” and the World Heritage Day organised by the Ajman Chamber.
