Emirati women pioneers in sustainable development

Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber said: “Since the UAE was founded nearly 50 years ago, Emirati women have made tremendous accomplishments and valuable contributions to this great nation. Today, women are well represented within government, business and all segments of society and the country continues to makes new strides in promoting gender equality.”

 “The UAE’s wise leadership has always made women empowerment a top priority as the government continues to expand efforts to empower women and ensure that they reach their full potential and become active participants in the economy.”

 Dubai Chamber’s President & CEO thanked Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for her unwavering support for women, which allowed them to reach new levels within Emirati society.

Mohammed Al-Tair, Acting CEO of RAK Properties, said that over the past fifty years, Emirati women, thanks to the support of their wise leadership, have achieved many gains that made them reach the highest levels in government and the private sector, and contributed to enhancing their capabilities. The UAE is one of the best countries in the world where women have achieved great success across various sectors and levels of society.

Al-Tair pointed out that women entered the real estate development sector many years ago, and proved their capabilities, whether in planning, promotion or investment, and were able to achieve continuous successes in many other fields, thanks to their abilities, self-confidence, and the empowerment policy that made them a partner in the development process. Emirati women will always be a source of pride for all citizens of the UAE, as well as an inspiration for in the Arab region and the rest of the world.
