Expo 2020 Dubai celebrates 10 million mark with special Dhs10 ticket for Sunday

COVID-19 safety protocols remain paramount at Expo 2020 Dubai, with stringent measures in place as the event prepares to mark the incredible achievement of 10 million visits.

Everyone is invited to come and join the celebrations on Sunday (Jan.16), with a special ticket entry price of just Dhs10.

With just 11 Sundays of Expo left, this is the perfect opportunity to either revisit or see the event for the first time, with the great price, and the wealth of entertainment and dining options, sure to make these tickets sell fast.

Sunday, 16 January promises to be a day to remember, with a slew of one-of-a-kind events to entertain and educate, as Expo 2020 Dubai invites everyone to join the global experience.

The Republic of Korea will celebrate its National Day with traditional Jang-Gu drums, a Taekwondo martial arts demonstration, and a special K-Pop concert at Jubilee Stage at 1930 GST, featuring artists including (G)I-dle, Stray Kids, Golden Child, PSY, Forestella and Sunmi.

Meanwhile, Global Goals Week will host the flagship ‘Global Goals for All’ – a people-facing event to create awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), celebrate progress made so far, and highlight the role of individuals and communities in driving global change for a more sustainable future for all by 2030.

Global Goals Week, which runs from Jan.15-22 at Expo 2020, will mobilise and accelerate momentum to advance the SDGs, highlighting solutions to inspire action around the world’s most pressing issues, including gender inequality and climate change.

In an incredible finale, DJ Mato Blue will be on the decks at Jubilee Stage from 2200 GST, with a set packed with deep house, funk, disco, progressive house and techno.

The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in Expo 2020 Dubai remains the highest priority, and organisers are committed to working with participants to welcome visitors to a safe and exceptional World Expo.

Visitors must present a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours or proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated visitors with a ticket can get free PCR tests from select centres across the UAE.

In the Chinese pavilion, the opening ceremony of China’s National Pavilion Day of Expo 2020 Dubai, Guangdong Promotion Week, and a series of promotion activities of Shenzhen was held at Al Wasl Plaza in Dubai Expo 2020.

 The Expo 2020 Dubai “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” & the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Finals Awards Ceremony staged on China’s National Pavilion Day was hailed by guests from home and abroad and thousands of spectators amid a lively atmosphere.  The top 30 finalists of the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Finals fully displayed their charm and elegance at the “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” prefaced by the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

They showed to the world the profound charm of Chinese clothing culture, and a stunning legend blending the classical charm and modern beauty, through their wonderful interpretation. With the far-reaching influence of the Miss Model of the World International Organization and through the platform of Expo 2020 Dubai, the gala offers an excellent opportunity to promote China’s culture and Shenzhen’s fashion industry.

The gala, showcasing Shenzhen’s achievements in the fashion industry, wowed the exhibitors and visitors at the Expo and won their warm applause. The “World Qipao Spring Festival Gala” & the 32nd Miss Model of the World International Finals Awards Ceremony dazzled at Expo 2020 Dubai. It was a live broadcast and covered by CCTV, Xinhua News Agency’s division in the Middle East, and other international news media, which has produced an extensive influence in the Middle East and even among overseas Chinese all over the world.

The Philippines Pavilion ‘Bangkóta’ at Expo 2020 Dubai will kickstart 2022 with a health and wellness fair this weekend!

United Architects of the Philippine (UAP) 124 Dubai and the Filipino International Triathletes Club have collaborated with the Philippine Organising Committee (POC) to spearhead a series of fitness events this weekend set to prepare visitors to the pavilion with exciting ways and means to transition to a healthier and active lifestyle for the year ahead.

Starting from 10:00 am, the inaugural ‘Fitfest’ at the Philippines Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will include activities such as a full body workout session followed by a cool down yoga session at the Bangkóta. Individuals are requested to bring their own yoga mats to take part in the cool down session.

The day will also witness several engaging talks and discussions on fitness & wellness and will have an in-depth seminar focusing on obesity awareness and proper nutrition.

Visitors will also enjoy free body mass index (BMI) checking and health consultations, while badminton enthusiasts can participate in several on-the-spot games and other activities as well.

In addition, visitors at the ‘Fitfest’ will also witness the launch of the 75-Day Healthy Fat Loss Challenge for 2022. Pavilion visitors are invited to register to participate in the initial weigh-in which will be revisited after 75 days to see each individual’s progress on their weight loss journey by March 2022.

The ‘Fitfest’ at the Philippines Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will take place this Saturday, January 15, starting from 10:00 am onwards.
