As per the UK’s Department of International Trade, the UAE is the Britain’s 25th largest trading partner globally. The UAE-UK trade and investment relationship has gone from strength to strength in recent years, from £12 billion (Dhs60b) in 2014 to £18.4 billion (Dhs92b) in 2020.
This year the trade will go up again significantly and would be back to pre-COVID-level of about £18 billion and is projected to go up to £25 billion within a couple of years.
To give boost to the trade relations, negotiations were held earlier this year between the UK and the UAE to sign a free trade agreement.
