The brainy Insights estimates that the global physical security market will grow from $110.32 billion in 2022 and reach $169.82 billion by 2030.
The need to secure the physical environment from activities, such as crime, vandalism, potential burglaries, theft, and fire incidences, are some of the crucial factors expected to drive the market. Moreover, factors, such as increased spending on the security to protect an organization’s critical assets, adoption of cloud-based data storage, advanced analytics, as well as technological developments in access control and video surveillance are some of the other elements expected to drive the market growth.
In the same context, Axis Communications, unveiled three new products, including the world’s first explosion-protected camera designed for Zone/Division 2 hazardous areas at the recently concluded Intersec, which was held in Dubai.
“We’re particularly excited to introduce three Axis products at Intersec Dubai that could potentially change how we approach safety and security surveillance,” said Ettiene van der Watt, Regional Director of Middle East & Africa at Axis Communications.

AXIS P1468-XLE is the world’s first explosion-protected camera designed for Zone/Division 2 hazardous locations. This sturdy, fixed bullet camera offers an optimal solution for the relatively larger Zone/Division 2 areas of a hazardous location which ensures that no arcs and sparks can appear and that excessive temperatures cannot be reached during normal operation of electrical equipment, eliminating the risk of igniting gas or dust in the surrounding environment. The camera delivers high-quality video surveillance and powerful deep learning-based analytics that run on the edge.
“The rapid urbanisation and development of smart cities are accompanied by a robust security infrastructure will drive the regional market's growth. Axis has been a market leader for over a decade in the physical surveillance space and we are confident that 2023 will only get better. Our key markets of operation are the UAE and KSA in the Middle East and we expect a 20 percent growth for our products and solutions in this year,” added Ettiene van der Watt.
Axis Communications expects that the launch of these new products will accelerate the high-level conversations needed to address the challenges faced by security leaders and professionals around the world.
