In the presence of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ahmed Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Entrepreneurship Week was launches in its third edition for the year 2024 at the Ajman Creative Hub, in cooperation with the Ajman Youth Council of the Federal Youth Authority.
The opening witnessed the presence of Mohammed Al Kashf, member of The Federal National Council, Aisha Al Marri, Member of the Federal National Council, and several leaders of our partners in the Ajman government. The initiative aims to spread awareness of the importance of projects for all segments of society, in support of the entrepreneurship objectives, and keeping pace with global developments.
Entrepreneurship Week will contribute to supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by involving them in the activities accompanying the week.
It will have several different activities, including workshops, discussion sessions, live performances, competitions for the public and children, and an exhibition for entrepreneurs.
On this occasion, Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of Ajman DED, said, “Entrepreneurship Week is a station for transformation and transition towards an innovative knowledge economy in the emirate, and we in Ajman DED embrace many emerging and innovative projects and support them through our initiatives and laws.”
“In conjunction with Entrepreneurship Week, we announce the launch of the first government business incubator in cooperation with Ajman University to include 50 entrepreneurs, free of charge, to enhance their economic journey in the emirate.”
Ahmed Al Hamrani stressed that the continuation and success of the Entrepreneurship Week initiative is a solid step to support our journey toward the future and to reinforce the strategic goal of supporting economic growth and sustainability of operations.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director of Business Development Department, stated, “The home of entrepreneurship is integrated with the development plan and is based on a unified strategy derived from the vision of the emirate to enhance Ajman DED’s objectives in building a knowledge economy based on innovation and transforming the ideas of pioneers into projects that achieve high levels of success to enhance the attractiveness of the UAE market to investors and business owners.” Al Nuaimi added that the launch of the first government business incubator at Ajman University contributes fundamentally to enhancing the quality of life and supporting economic growth in the emirate in a significant and strong way that supports all the efforts of entrepreneurs.
Abdullah Abdul Samad Zaid Hilal Al Shehhi - Chairman of the Youth Council of the Emirate of Ajman, stressed the importance of the role of government institutions in Ajman to support youth projects and their talents. This is done by highlighting it in various fields through joint cooperation between government institutions in Ajman and youth councils, which aims to achieve the goals of Ajman governance and serve the national youth agenda.
For his part, Al Shehhi praised the role of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED) in supporting youth projects in Ajman in a way that ensures smooth economic development and enhances the UAE’s position in global competitiveness indicators for entrepreneurship.
Meanwhile Ajman’s property market soared in 2023, with a staggering 43 per cent increase in transactions compared to the previous year. A total of 11,474 deals were registered, exceeding Dhs16.9 billion in value, according to the annual report issued by the Ajman Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation.
A total of Dhs10.2 billion was traded across 8,675 transactions, with the highest sale reaching Dhs136 million in the Al Nakheel 2 neighbourhood.
Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, said that Ajman’s economy experienced substantial growth in 2023 in various sectors, especially real estate.
“Ajman’s 2023 performance underscored the effectiveness of its targeted economic initiatives, showcasing the resilience and dynamism of its key sectors. The real estate market, bolstered by the leadership’s forward-thinking vision and the government’s regulations and investment facilitation measures, achieved remarkable milestones, with the upward trajectory expected to continue. This lays a strong foundation for the Emirate’s sustainable economic development in the years ahead,” he said.
He explained that the strategic goals of the Ajman Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation revolve around streamlining property registration processes to strengthen competition and boost economic growth. “By actively shaping its future and defining the region’s investment landscape through data-driven insights, the empowered real estate sector will play a leading role in attracting and guiding sustainable investments.”
“The Emirate of Ajman is rapidly transforming into a modern, integrated city, attracting residents who seek a secure and prosperous future,” he stressed.
For his part, Engineer Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation, said that the emirate of Ajman is steadfastly pursuing its vision of integrated development, with tangible progress across various fronts, thanks to strong collaboration between various stakeholders, including government agencies and institutions.
“The record performance of the real estate market during 2023 stands as a testament to sound policy decisions and robust economic fundamentals,” he explained.
