At its headquarters, the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) has concluded a memorandum of cooperation with the Municipal Council of the city of Khorfakkan. In its details, the electronic services provide answers to inquiries about real estate data, with the aim of facilitating the procedures for those dealing with the real estate sector in Khorfakkan.
This cooperation aims to ensure the integration of roles, providing the best government services and developing them without any obstacles.
The memorandum was signed by Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Dr. Rashid Khamis Al-Naqbi, Chairman of Khorfakkan Municipal Council, in the presence of Abdul Aziz Rashid Al-Saleh, Director of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Dr. Suhail Al-Naqbi, Vice-Chairman of Khorfakkan Municipal Council, in addition to a number of officials from both sides.
It comes within the framework of allowing Khorfakkan’s Municipal Council to view and inquire about the real estate data of the persons inquired about, through the electronic service (Web Service), where customers in the city will be able to extract the property statement certificate directly from the municipal council building without the need to visit SRERD’s building.
The Department will provide the Municipal Council with a detailed explanation about the usage of the system, after getting the names of whoever the Council deems appropriate among its officials and employees, as they will submit requests for property inquiries electronically to SRERD.
In this context, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi said, “The electronic-link project, between the department and the Municipal Council of the city of Khorfakkan, aims to achieve digital integration between the two parties, enhance their cooperation, and provide an integrated business system that stimulates investors to benefit from growth opportunities in Khorfakkan real estate market.”
“In addition, this project will also provide a unified database that makes it easier for entrepreneurs and city residents to obtain easy and smooth real estate services away from centralization, which saves time and effort, and reflects positively on the level of services provided to all residents of the city”.
Al-Shamsi also pointed out, “The number of electronic certificates for benefiting and inquiring about properties for entities with which cooperation agreements were signed reached 24,577 certificates in 2023, which means that through this service, the department was able to save time and effort for its costumers”.
For his part, Dr Rashid Khamis Al-Naqbi, stated, “Signing this agreement comes within the framework of our continuous efforts to overcome the difficulties and reduce the burdens facing the people of Khorfakkan, as well as speedily completing their transactions without the need to visit the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department”.
Al-Naqbi expressed his appreciation for the effective efforts undertaken by the Department, stressing that, “this step comes within the comprehensive electronic work system adopted by our wise leadership, which aims to increase and enhance cooperation between all government institutions operating in the emirate, and to exchange experiences among them in a way that serves sustainable economic development”.
