Senegalese officials affirmed that Dubai is a global model in stimulating foreign investment, supporting the private sector, and developing a conducive legislative environment for business growth and expansion.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of their participation in the trade mission organised by the Dubai International Chamber in Senegal, they stated that the UAE ranks among the top ten countries in foreign direct investment in Senegal, with significant investments from Emirati giants such as DP World and Emirates Airline.
Abdoulaye Sow, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Dakar, highlighted Senegal's interest in UAE investments for promising opportunities. He mentioned the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Dubai International Chamber to boost investments and events between Dubai and Senegal.
On his part, Bakary Sega BATHILY, the Director General of the National Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Projects in Senegal, stated that a Senegalese trade delegation will visit the UAE in the third quarter of the current year to explore ways to enhance cooperation with the Emirati business sector, particularly in priority areas such as infrastructure and logistics.
On his part, Talibouya BA, the Parliamentary Attaché to the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum, and Mines in Senegal, stated that there are significant prospects for further cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Senegal, especially in the mining sector in Senegal.
He added that the trade mission of the Dubai International Chamber in Senegal plays a crucial role in introducing the Emirati business community to the investment opportunities provided by Senegal.
