As consumers prioritize meaningful experiences, the UAE’s culinary scene is evolving to meet their needs. Homegrown concepts have succeeded in international markets, boosting the country’s culinary reputation globally.
According to Mordor Intelligence, highlighted in the whitepaper, the F&B sector is expected to expand to $43.98 billion by 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.09%. This growth is attributed to a resilient tourism industry, a strong economy, and a competitive environment in the UAE.
In the same context, The Chandramari Group, a diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in the UAE for over 30 years, is has announced the launch of its latest venture, Zordaar, an Indian fine dining restaurant in Dubai. With an initial investment ranging from AED 4.5 to 5 million, Zordaar is set to offer an authentic Indian culinary experience at an affordable price, making fine dining accessible to all.

Having been here for over 30 years, we saw an opportunity to create something unique that showcases India’s rich culinary traditions. The investment in Zordaar reflects Chandramari Group’s commitment to quality and innovation. While the initial investment is in the range of AED 4.5 to 5 million, the company is focused on establishing Zordaar as a premier dining destination in Dubai. In the coming months, Chandramari Group plans to invest an additional AED 20 to 25 million to drive Zordaar’s growth across the region. The expansion strategy will initially focus on opening four to five outlets across the UAE before venturing into key markets in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain.
"We expect strong growth for Zordaar in the next five years. While we’re starting with one location, we plan to have around five outlets by next year. This expansion will be driven by our continuous focus on promoting an excellent dining experience. Within five years, we aim to have Zordaar established across the Middle East,” said Mr. S.C. Suresh Babu, Founder of Zordaar.
Beyond the food and beverage sector, Chandramari Group is actively involved in other industries, including construction, education, and technology. The group is currently working on expanding its existing international school in India and other projects, with a focus on creating synergies between different industries to drive innovation and ensure long-term success across all its ventures.
