His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has visited Gitex Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy”.
Sheikh Khaled toured several national and local pavilions and was briefed on the initiatives and projects adopted by participating entities, aiming to leverage the latest AI and advanced technology solutions to accelerate digital transformation across various government services.
He also visited the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) pavilion, showcasing the council’s latest technological innovations aimed at advancing research and development across AI technologies. In addition, Sheikh Khaled toured the pavilions of e& and Space42, a UAE-based company specialising in AI-powered space technology.
Furthermore, Sheikh Khaled visited the pavilion of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a leading entity in the defence and security industry.
Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed highlighted the significance of Gitex Global as the world’s largest annual technology and startup exhibition, reaffirming its remarkable achievements that further strengthens Dubai and the UAE’s position on the regional and global digital and technological landscape.
He emphasised that Gitex Global establishes the nation’s global standing as a leading hub for adopting advanced technologies and harnessing artificial intelligence to identify future trends across various key sectors.
The 44th edition of GITEX Global is the largest in the exhibition’s history, featuring 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, bringing together government, investment, and academic entities, along with experts and researchers from around the world.
MoIAT’s digital platform: Dr Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, on Tuesday at the 44th edition of Gitex Global launched the ministry’s new and enhanced interactive website.
The digital platform provides investors, companies and individuals with advanced search tools in several languages including a live customer assistance service to make the user experience smoother and accessing services easier.
Dr Sultan Al Jaber announced the launch during a tour at Gitex Global, where he was accompanied by a delegation on the ministry’s stand.
During the tour, he visited several stands of governmental and private entities, including Emirates Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Government, Dubai Government, Etisalat, Du, Nvidia, and Huawei.
He was briefed on some of the entities’ digital solutions, projects and initiatives in areas like data analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital empowerment.
Part of the tour, Dr Sultan Al Jaber was also shown the demo version of the ministry’s transformational project: The UAE integrated Industrial dashboard “Aloum Al Senaa” which aims to empower decisionmakers through data collection and analysis. The project is designed to support the growth and competitiveness of the industrial sector by showcasing investment opportunities and helping leaders to make informed decisions.
At the 44th edition of Gitex Global, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is showcasing its online and smart services that are designed to support the growth and competitiveness of the industrial and technological sectors in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Operation 300bn).
Additionally, the ministry is hosting three workshops focusing on AI, cybersecurity, compliance and strategies for success in an evolving business environment.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, said, “The ministry’s participation in GITEX Global is in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which prioritizes innovation, the adoption of advanced technology and digitalizing the services provided to investors, companies and individuals to enhance the competitiveness of local companies on a regional and international level.

MoIAT aims to establish the UAE as a leading global hub for industry, technology and industries of the future.
