Rita Wilson has found a novel way to beat the boredom caused by the coronavirus isolation.
The actor and singer has compiled a playlist on the digital music platform Spotify, while she and her husband Tom Hanks remain in quarantine.
Hanks announced earlier this week that they have both been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Making much needed light of the situation, which has caused panic and paranoia across the world, Wilson offered to create the song list for people who are self-quarantining.
“I want to make a @Spotify playlist for people self-quarantining,” she wrote.
Wilson shared the information via twitter and has given the playlist a quirky moniker, Quarantunes.
She had previously taken to social media, asking users for suggestions for song ideas, as well as potential names for the playlist.
“Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps? Can you send some song ideas that I can add? Also, what should we call it? Quarantine Choruses? This is what one does in quarantine. U think of stuff like this.”
On Friday, she shared a link to the Spotify playlist, writing: “And the winner for the quarantine playlist naming is QUARANTUNES! Head to @Spotify to listen.”

The playlist includes 32 songs and runs for more than two hours.
Some of the numbers featured on it include Richard Marx’s “Right Here Waiting,” her own version of “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” Eric Carmen’s “All By Myself,” The Beatles’ “I’m So Tired,” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).”
The Bee Gee’s “Night Fever,” Queen’s “I Want to Break Free,” and Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor,” also feature.
The pair are currently in isolation in Australia, taking it "one-day-at-a-time," Hanks wrote in a recent Instagram post.
