Lady Gaga has given fans a first look of the artwork for her new album "Chromatica".
Ahead of the release of her sixth studio album, the singer took to social media on Sunday night to share the record’s concept art, which shows a pink-haired Gaga in a Mad Max-style get up, complete with studded arm piece and heels.
A second cover for the album’s vinyl and cassette release sees the “Born This Way” pop star sport an all pink look in a metallic bikini and shoulder pads similar to those worn in the music video for lead single, “Stupid Love”.
It comes after Gaga was forced to make the “incredibly tough” decision to delay Chromatica’s original release from 10 April due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she wrote on social media.
“Instead I prefer that we spend time focusing on finding solutions.
“It’s important to me that the attention is on getting essential medical equipment to healthcare professionals, making sure kids who depend on public schools for meals get the assistance they need, and that we help those who will be financially impacted by this pandemic.”
