Renowned Pakistani actors Nida Yasir and her husband Yasir Nawaz, Alizeh Shah and Naveed Raza have all tested positive for coronavirus.
Nida had been shooting her morning show, Good Morning Pakistan where the cast of “Mera Dil Mera Dushman” appeared as guests for promotions. That includes Nawaz, Raza, Alizeh Shah, Noaman Sami and Anam Tanveer.
It is being speculated that crew members on the sets of their shows have also tested positive. Many on social media are now attributing the spread to carrying out shoots in the mid of the pandemic.
"I pushed them all to get tested," explained Raza. "There must have been a carrier on set."
Tanveer has shared that she has tested negative for the novel virus. Images has reached out to Shah and Sami and awaits a response.
"Only Yasir, our daughter and I are positive, not my crew," clarified Nida in a conversation with Images. "I have no symptoms but Yasir has fever. My son tested negative."
One pointed out that the cast of Alizeh and Yasir’s serial appeared on Nida’s show just a few days ago. It is important to note that Nida hadn’t been shooting for the show in the past few days.
Previously, the morning show host came under scrutiny when public gatherings were prohibited and a makeup competition was held during the pandemic with no regards to social distancing.
Currently, the entire team, and staff who came in contact with Nida, is being tested and are requested to stay in till results come out.
