Madonna once refused to go on a date with Trump, new book claims

As the race to the November 2020 US election heats up, the dirt on President Donald Trump  just keeps growing.

Now a new book by the US president’s niece has claimed that Donald Trump was once turned down by Madonna for a date.

In an excerpt seen by USA Today, Mary Trump explains that she was asked to ghostwrite Trump’s book "The Art of the Comeback" in the 1990s, with his assistant offering to send over the pages he’d written so far.

But rather than covering his professional life, Mary Trump apparently claims that the 10 pages she received were “an aggrieved compendium of women he had expected to date but who, having refused him, were suddenly the worst, ugliest, and fattest slobs he’d ever met.”

Among those women was Madonna, who the letter allegedly described as “(chewing) gum in a way Donald found unattractive.”

The allegations are made in "Too Much and Never Enough," a controversial book by Mary Trump — the 55-year-old daughter of the president’s late brother — which will be released on July 14.

The memoir is the subject of a legal battle between the author and her family members, with White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany calling it a “book of falsehoods” full of “ridiculous, absurd allegations that have absolute no bearing in truth.”

Madonna has previously shown her disdain for Trump, controversially telling an audience of more than 500,000 at the 2017 Women’s March that she had “thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House” following his election.
