Princess Diana’s entry into the British royal family takes centre stage in the fourth season of Netflix drama “The Crown”.
Emma Corrin, a 24-year-old actress, enacts the role of the young Diana, depicting a soft voice and shy gaze from behind a heavy fringe.
In the new season, Diana is introduced as a naïve teenager who roller-skates around Buckingham Palace to pass away time due to loneliness after her engagement to Prince Charles.

Before the marriage, she starts battling with bulimia, a cycle of binge-eating and then purging.
Princess Diana was 20 and Prince Charles 32 when they got married in 1981.
Strong female roles
The fourth season of the hit show covers late 1970s and 1980’s with love triangle being one of the main storylines.
The period was marked by deadly violence over British rule in Northern Ireland, which included the assassination of Charles' great-uncle and confidant, Louis Mountbatten, by the IRA in 1979.

The Crown was first aired in 2016 and has gone ahead to won numerous awards since then, with a total of 73 million viewers.
