James Gunn, the filmmaker of the super hit film The Suicide Squad, took to social media to confirm that iconic actor Sylvester Stallone is now a part of the team.
The filmmaker posted a picture of Stallone on his official Twitter account to confirm the news.
The Suicide Squad, which was released in 2016, will have a follow-up film starring the 'Rocky' star.
The film also stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and Jared Leto in lead roles.
The new film will have Robbie sharing screen space with Idris Elba, Joel Kinnaman, and Taika Waititi.
"Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on #TheSuicideSquad was no exception. Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don't have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is," Gunn captioned it.
Stallone also appeared in Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2", where he played the role of Stakar Ogord.
The film is scheduled to release on August 6 next year.
