Euphoria star Lukas Gage had an excruciating encounter with a director during a recent virtual audition for a role.
Gage caught the English director scoffing at the size of his apartment, not realising he was unmuted.
The events transpired on a Zoom call, with the 25-year-old actor going on to post the clip on his Instagram and Twitter accounts, showing the agonising moment.

“These poor people living in these tiny apartments… I’m looking at his background and he’s got his TV,” the director is heard saying in a patronising manner.
The director looks stunned and stops speaking when Gage winces and then says: “Ooh… yeah unmuted. I know it’s a s***y apartment but that’s why give me this job and I’ll get a better one.”
After a moment of silence, the director, who had not been identified at the time of writing, apologises and says he is “mortified.” “I am so, so sorry Lukas,” he says.
“I’m living in a 4x4 box, just gimme the job and we’ll be fine,” Gage responds.
Although maintaining his composure during the rude encounter, the actor has now hit back with a video posted on his social media accounts which reads: “PSA: if you’re a s*** talking director make sure to mute ur mic on zoom mtgings.”
A number of celebs responded and expressed their astonishment at how rude the director had been, while praising Gage for the grace with which he handled the awkward moment.
“What the f***,” wrote “Normal People”star Paul Mescal.
“Game of Thrones” actor Sophie Turner called the incident “f***ed up,” while her husband, singer Joe Jonas, said Gage handled it “like a champ.”
“I dunno how you reacted so well lol,” said Patrick Schwarzenegger.
Gage joked that he would reveal the identity of the director if the video received 100,000 likes.
