Bollywood actor Rahul Roy, the star of 1990 superhit film “Aashiqui,” suffered brain stroke and was hospitalised in the Indian city Kargil.
He has suffered a brain stroke while shooting for a movie. He was brought back to Mumbai and is currently admitted to the Nanavati hospital.

Rahul Roy shot to popularity at the age of 22 after starring in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Aashiqui' opposite actress Anu Agarwal.
According to a report by filminformation.com the actor was rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to Mumbai.
The 52-year-old actor is in the ICU, and is reportedly responding well to the treatment.
After 'Aashiqui', he signed films like 'Junoon', 'Pyaar Ka Saaya', 'Ghazab Tamasha', 'Ghazab Tamasha', 'Sapne Sajan Ke', 'Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee' among others. After 2001's 'Afsana Dilwalon Ka', Rahul Roy took a break of four years before returning to the silver screen in 2005 with 'Meri Aashiqui'.
