Pakistani Canadian film and television actress Armeena Khan received a certificate for her outstanding public service in Britain.
The “Sherdil” actor took to Instagram and Twitter about the news. She was honoured by the British Pakistani Labour Party politician and mayor of Burnley, Wajid Khan.
The “Bin Roy” actress shared photos with Lord Wajid Khan and Lady Anam Khan and revealed that she received the certificate.
Armeena Khan was accompanied by her husband, British-Pakistani businessman Fesl Khan.
She said, “So humbled to receive a certificate for outstanding public service at #Burnley Town hall today. Thank you, Lord Wajid Khan and Lady Anam Khan for receiving my husband Fesl Khan and I today."
She recently hosted and attended a vigil for Palestine in Manchester along with her husband. Armeena posted a photo and said, “Our hearts were heavy but it was a peaceful vigil. Muslims, Hindus, Christians came together and spoke for Palestine."
