Flamboyant TikToker Kashif Zameer has been arrested by police on charges of duping Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan who played the role of Ertugrul Ghazi in drama serial, Dirilis: Ertugrul.
Zameer, who is known for his larger than life TikToks, had earlier invited Altan to Pakistan after sending a fake draft of a hefty amount to become the face of his “company.”
The actor had visited the country where dignitaries including Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar hosted him.

Displaying the gold chains, rings, and other items recovered from Zameer, the DSP said. "All these items are fake.”
The official said that the accused had many other cases registered against him, adding that his actions have tainted the image of Pakistan.
He added that the suspect has at least six cases against him already including carrying illegal weapons and fraud, among others in Lahore and Sialkot.
The arrest came shortly after the Racecourse Police Lahore registered a case against Zameer on the complaint of Engin who had alleged that the suspect had misused his (actor) to earn illegal benefits.
He also alleged that the suspect had also issued him bogus cheques against some agreements and defamed him by using his name and pictures without his permission for ulterior motives.
The Turkish actor had submitted an application online with a request to the inspector general of police for action against the TikToker who claimed to be owner of Chaudhry Group of Companies. The suspect is known for his love of wearing heavy gold chains and keeping pet lions at home.
