As an advocate, an artist and a humanitarian, mural artist Brian Peterson’s work has served as an inspiration for many, over the years.
His recent mural, a 35-by-40-foot work depicting the shooting guard Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, is also definitely one of them.
The mural is seen on a building overlooking the parking lot of Philippe the Original sandwich shop in Los Angeles.
The immensely powerful depiction of Kobe, is inspired by an image of him receiving the Oscar in 2018, for the Best Animated Short Film “Dear Basketball”, in the Dolby theatre complex in Los Angeles.

Kobe Bryant, an American basketball player, who spent his 20 year career playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association, died on January 26, 2020.
Bryant, 41, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
