Bollywood actors mourned the loss of India’s legendary athlete Milkha Singh, who succumbed to coronavirus on Friday, the 18th of June.
Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Dia Mirza, Anupam Kher, and many more took to their social media accounts to share their heartfelt condolences for the Flying Sikh, as he was fondly called.
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted about how inspirational Milkha Singh was and how his legacy will live on, even after he passed away.
Farhan Akhtar, who also had the honour to make a film on the athlete, shared an image of himself with Milkha Singh, during one of his meetings with him.
Along with the image, he also wrote about how he has touched the lives of so many with his warm and loving nature.
Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher penned a few lines on how the legend was a pride for the country and an inspiration for people of all ages to look up to.
Actress Dia Mirza, who is also a beauty pageant title holder for the country, wrote about how he was the finest athlete India has ever produced.
Along with these handful celebrities sharing their remorse on social media, the whole world mourns the loss of a legendary athlete, who had not only done the impossible with his achievements, but was known for his warm and humble nature.
India is yet to produce an athlete good enough to match the perfection of the Flying Sikh, Milkha Singh.
