Syrian storyteller, Asmaa Rasheed, takes children in refugee camps into a world filled with hope through her stories

Asmaa Rasheed, a young Syrian refugee storyteller, finds an interesting way to bring relief to the children living in camps.

Asmaa Rasheed, who lives at the Zaatari refugee camp in the Jordanian city of Mafraq, near the border with Syria, tries to write interesting stories in her home and reads them to the children who come to listen to her.

The camp is filled with children, many of who have lost a major part of their childhood in experiencing pain and suffering.

Her little effort to try and take the children into an imaginary world that is full of hope and love is a sigh of relief for parents who see a small ray of normalcy peeping into the lives of their otherwise traumatized children with this act.
