Latifa Bint Mohammed inaugurates Infinity Des Lumières, the region's largest digital arts centre

To enhance Dubai’s position as a city of the future and a global destination for creators, Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), inaugurated “Infinity de Lumiere”, the largest center for digital arts in the Gulf region, which inaugurates a new era.

The inauguration was attended by a group of prominent personalities and stakeholders at the local and international levels.

Representing a new era of modern immersive art, the establishment of the centre further enhances Dubai’s position as the city of the future.

 The centre opens to the public on July 1. 

Sheikha Latifa stressed that the establishment of such a pioneering center for future arts is an important step in Dubai's march towards globalisation.

Dubai is a cultural capital and a destination for the global creative movement and modern and contemporary arts, and promotes plans to develop the economy based on knowledge and innovation in the emirate.

The centre is spread over an impressive 2,700 square metres.

Latifa explained that ‘Dubai Culture’ is adopting ambitious projects such as "Infinity de Lumiere" as one of the important elements in consolidating the emirate's position as the capital of the creative economy in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The technology-driven artistic platform uses 130 projectors.

The centre is expected to play an influential role in attracting future visionaries through additional programs that support digital artists in the UAE and the region.

Infinity de Lumiere has used 58 speakers, and 3,000 HD digital moving images.

The centre, which opens to the public on 1 July, offers an unforgettable, multi-sensory and vibrant journey presented through the art of Van Gogh’s Starry Nights, DannyRose Studio’s Dreamed Japan “The Images of the floating world”, and Thomas Vanz’s fully digital creation, Verse.

The Infinity de Lumiere Center offers a pioneering technology-based art space, the first in the region, with 130 projectors and 58 speakers, covering an area of 2,700 square meters, bringing to life the distinctive and contemporary art with 3000 digital high-resolution moving images.
