Spanish celebrated artist Picasso, known for his impeccable contribution to the world of art, had once donated a painting done by himself to the people of Greece many, many, years ago.
The painting was reportedly stolen around a decade back from the National Gallery in the country.
Greek Culture Ministry shows a recovered painting of Picasso.
The painting called the ‘Head of a Woman,’ had been recovered by offcials froma rural area.
Picasso had done the artwork in 1949 and had given it to the Greek people as a token of remembrance.
Picasso painting personally donated by the Spanish master to the Greek people.
A builder had confessed of stealing the artwork and was arrested for his theft, shortly after the recovery.
After the recovery the authorities figured that the painting would be impossible to sell, as Picasso had personally written a note on the back of it.
