American robotics company Boston Dynamics celebrated its acquisition by the Japanese company ‘Hyundai’ in a strange way and by posting a new video of the robot dancing.
The long-armed robots seemed to have an amazing synchronization.
The video clip showed five of the dog-like robots dancing to the song ‘I'm On It’ by the Korean band BTS.
The yellow long-armed robots are lined up so closely that it seems like a deck of chairs stacked on top of each other.
The motions are so smooth and harmonious, and the steps are perfectly timed that one might wonder that are the robots listening and responding to the music.
Many social media users praised the clip, but not everyone liked it.
One user commented, "I'm not very happy with the scary dance video, while others described the dance as 'horrifying'."
Boston Dynamics has come under fire after Hyundai announced that it completed its acquisition of Boston Dynamics in a deal valuing the innovative robotics company at $1.1 billion, in late 2020.
The move did not satisfy many Americans, especially since the company was sold to the South Koreans; As the deal was seen as impairing America's chances of controlling modern technology, one commentator grumbled: can't we keep any technology here in America anymore?
