US pop singer Britney Spears is planning to ‘officially retire’

Pop star Britney Spears’s manager Larry Rudolph reportedly claimed that the singer is voicing her intention to officially retire from her music career.

A letter was published by Deadline; Larry Rudolph-long time manager said he himself would step down after being made aware of Spears’s plans.

In the letter he said that it has been over two years since Britney and Larry have communicated, and at that time she informed him she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus.

“I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire,” Rudolph reportedly said.

The manager said he has never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations.

Larry Rudolph was hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her with her career.

He further said he will resign from her team.

“Please accept this letter as my formal resignation,” he wrote in the letter.

The letter added: “I will always be incredibly proud of what we accomplished over our 25 years together. I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been.”
