British auction house Spink & Son announced the sale of a rare 22-carat antique gold coin dating back to the reign of Henry VIII of Britain, for 64,000 pounds.
The coin of 20 shillings is one of 5 coins minted between 1,538 and 1,541.
It was the main currency, which was converted into the modern pound in 1971.
The other side of the coin shows a royal shield on the back with a Tudor rose.
The coin shows the face of King Henry on the throne holding a sword and sceptre, surmounted by a royal shield on the back with a Tudor rose.
"This is the largest gold coin in Britain and the first English coin to depict a fully-dressed king sitting on the throne," said Gregory Edmund, a specialist in coins at the auction house.
It also showed the high society and visiting merchants that he is the actual president, and has good health.
