Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of Crown Prince of Fujairah Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and patron of Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations of Al Nahda Women’s Association, posted on Instagram photos of Dubai’s Al Noor Mosque in Al Quoz area.
The mosque is the only mosque in the UAE and Middle East designed by a female architect, Sumaya Al Dabbagh, a Saudi engineer.
Social media users from all over the world admired the photos as they were dazzled by the exclusive and modern designs of the Al Noor Mosque.
Al Dabbagh studied in Dubai after she had stopped studying at the British University of Bath.
She specialised in the study of architecture, becoming one of the top Arab women in the field.
Al Dabbagh was chosen by the world's leading architects as one of the final candidates for the position of CEO of the Year last March.
