An impressive lineup of international, regional and local talent is set to perform at the Expo 2020 opening ceremony, which will take place at the iconic Al Wasl Plaza on Sept.30.
Spectators will enjoy a dazzling display of stunning visuals, music and performances, where some of the world's most creative minds, world-renowned artists and emerging talents come together in a stunning, ground-breaking performance that will be shared with audiences around the world.
Among those set to perform the world-famous tenor is Andrea Bocelli, Grammy-nominated, Golden Globe-winning actress, singer-songwriter Andra Day; Platium selling British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding; world mega pianist Lang Lang; and four Grammy Award winner Angelique Kidjo.

Highlighting the region's creative diversity and talent, the brilliance lineup also includes "Artist of Arabs" Mohammed Abdo, and beloved Emirati singing sensation “Fananat Al Arab” Ahlam Alshamsi. Emirati artist and ambassador of Expo 2020 Dubai, Hussain Al Jasmi, a pioneer in the world of Gulf music in the Middle East and internationally; Rising Emirati singer-songwriter Almas; And the Lebanese-American singer and Grammy-nominated Maysa Karaa.

Directly inspired by the Expo theme of 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future', the opening ceremony will take viewers on an amazing journey through its sub-themes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability, as it showcases the UAE's enduring values, vision and purpose of the the exhibition, while welcoming the 192 countries participating in the mega event in an astonishing fashion.
