VIDEO: Glittering line-up of global artists to perform at grand opening of Expo 2020 Dubai

An impressive lineup of international, regional and local talent is set to perform at the Expo 2020 opening ceremony, which will take place at the iconic Al Wasl Plaza on Sept.30.
Spectators will enjoy a dazzling display of stunning visuals, music and performances, where some of the world's most creative minds, world-renowned artists and emerging talents come together in a stunning, ground-breaking performance that will be shared with audiences around the world.
Among those set to perform the world-famous tenor is Andrea Bocelli, Grammy-nominated, Golden Globe-winning actress, singer-songwriter Andra Day; Platium selling British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding; world mega pianist Lang Lang; and four Grammy Award winner Angelique Kidjo.
Highlighting the region's creative diversity and talent, the brilliance lineup also includes "Artist of Arabs" Mohammed Abdo, and beloved Emirati singing sensation “Fananat Al Arab” Ahlam Alshamsi. Emirati artist and ambassador of Expo 2020 Dubai, Hussain Al Jasmi, a pioneer in the world of Gulf music in the Middle East and internationally; Rising Emirati singer-songwriter Almas; And the Lebanese-American singer and Grammy-nominated Maysa Karaa.
Directly inspired by the Expo theme of 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future', the opening ceremony will take viewers on an amazing journey through its sub-themes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability, as it showcases the UAE's enduring values, vision and purpose of the the exhibition, while welcoming the 192 countries participating in the mega event in an astonishing fashion.

Combining some of the most sought-after names in the world of music, live events and entertainment with the stunning and world-first technologies of the iconic Al Wasl Plaza, this is the 'Big Bang' setting the stage for 182 days of visually stunning and emotionally inspiring experiences, as we invite visitors from all over the world to join in. to create a new world.
Available to watch on Expo TV and Virtual Expo and broadcast to a global audience of millions across multiple channels, the opening ceremony will feature the stunning Al Wasl Arena, including the world's largest immersive audio installation and the world's largest integrated video presentation installation.
A first-of-its-kind 'on the tour' event, audiences will be at the center of the show as it unfolds, with a rotating stage, incredible atmosphere, and immersive technology coming to life around them.
