Stage performers in India are often showered with cash but at a recent event in Gujarat, an ardent fan of a singer took the cash-showering ritual to a different level.
Urvashi Radadiya, a famous Gujarati folk singer, was surprised when a person from the audience emptied a bucketful of cash during one of her performances.
However, Radadiya didn’t pay much importance to the generous fan and continued with her performance.
The area where she is singing was carpeted with cash even before the bucket of cash was emptied on her.
Later Radadiya posted the video on her Instagram and expressed gratitude to everyone in her Instagram post.
She also mentioned that the performance was held during the Tulsi vivah ceremony organised by Shri Samast Hirawadi Group in Gujarat.
The folk singer is quite active on social media and has over 21,000 followers.
Her Instagram post of the money-shower garnered over 13,000 likes.
An Instagram user with the name, “happpiee soul” commented, “Keep growing, keep shining.”
Another user Deepikapatel4540 said, “Very nice didi, lots of love.”
However, not all were impressed and called it disrespectful.
A user said, “This is very disrespectful. Also why to shower notes like this?”
