Filmmaker Srinath Rajendran joins hands with Huckster

The entire world is talking about the impact of climate change and advocating to protect and restore ecosystem. Big corporates have also started embracing sustainability and talking about sustainable mode of development and growth. The Dubai World Trade Centre has witnessed the launch of Huckster Productions on Tuesday evening in the presence of Sheikh Majid Rashid Abdulla Al Mualla and other esteemed guests such as Sohan Roy, Dr. Bu Abdullah, government officials and influential business owners and social activists. Huckster Productions has become carbon negative production house.

Dubai-based Huckster MENA has been at the helm of advertising and marketing for eight years. They have successfully managed more than 300 clients and ran more than 1,000 successful campaigns in three continents so far. With the launch of Huckster Productions, they have graduated into the world of sustainability to show the world that they care for planet earth. A rather young, energetic and passionate team of Huckster MENA, got the support of another visionary young leader Srinath Rajendran who is a terrific filmmaker, and has recently given a blockbuster film “Kurup.” Srinath is equally passionate about preserving the planet earth and believes in leaving something for the younger generation.

Srinath joined Huckster Productions as creative head. The filmmaker regaled the audience with his inspiring talk on his goal and passion. Talking about his association, he said, “We have exploited tonnes of natural resources while making films in all these years. So soon after making a successful film ‘Kurup’ I started wondering what am I doing with the mother earth. Thought of destroying natural resources while making a film started bothering me badly.

Then I thought why can’t we create artwork without being hazardous.” “My film being hugely successful I should have been extremely happy for its success but I was bothered about devastation and loss of natural resources caused by us.” I thought I can create art and still be creative by following an environmentally-friendly approach which won’t disturb the balance of our planet. I should also contribute to the betterment of society. He said, I am very proud to be a part of such a young and passionate team who also believe in a better future. He quipped, “If you look at the Dubai World Trade Centre, you can witness that they are already practicing sustainability here. When Dubai can follow the culture of sustainability why not us.

I really appreciate Rulers of this country for making the country an inspiration for many. “ Huckster Productions is now going green starting with the baby steps, at the event which had no usage of single use plastics and even used edible cups. Huckster strongly believes that the future of media and film lies in evolving technology and the precision of production quality which is why this project emphasizes on being less corporate and more human. The focus being on content and creativity as the core of their designs.

Their aim and goal, blended with Srinath’s artistry, has led to what Huckster Productions is today. One of the enthralling aspects of the whole evening was the company’s environmentally conscious decision to make the event carbon neutral. It was their conscious decision to host the event at the Dubai World Trade Center as they were awarded the Green Globe award for their commitment to reducing their environmental footprint. This event was only the beginning of a new journey, with much more lined up by the team. The ultimate goal being to establish a brand name which highlights people and their talent by compiling resources from the best in the field.
