The Emirate of Sharjah, the home of culture, successfully wrapped up the seasons of concerts titled, #Lets Khorfakkan and #Lets Majaz, featuring some of the biggest Arab musical icons and stars and attracting more than 22,000 music lovers from across the country.
This is the second year in a row that Sharjah has hosted another successful season of concerts bringing to the UAE popular stars and artistes from across the Arab world and offering the music lovers unforgettable experience of authentic Gulf Arab musical traditions.
The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, the new cultural and entertainment destination on Sharjah’s East Coast, presented a stellar line-up of some of the biggest musical icons and artistes including the Saudi legend Mohammed Abdu known as ‘Fanan Alarab’ (Artist of the Arabs), Syria’s Assala Nasri, Kuwait’s Abdulla Al Rowaished and Nawal El Kuwaitia etc.

The Khorfakkan Amphitheatre was also rocked by the unique vocals of Iraqi-Saudi singer Majed Al-Mohandes and the sweet, mellifluous voice of young Dalia Mubarak of Saudi Arabia.
#Lets Majaz season
The #Lets Majaz season of concerts at the iconic Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah city, managed by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, also turned out to be some of the best evenings spent in the UAE, attracting huge interest and impressive audience turnout from across the country.
The Amphitheatre located in the heart of the picturesque Khalid Lagoon hosted wildly popular young Arab singers like Wael Kfoury and Melhem Zain from Lebanon. The musical night starring the Lebanese duo turned out to be one of the best and memorable ones in terms of the stellar performance of the artistes as well as the audience’s participation.
The #Lets Majaz season also featured a dazzling performance by the Lebanese artist Yara and Syria’s Nassif Zaytoun who wowed the UAE music lovers with their magical vocals and music late into the night.
The UAE audiences will long remember this season of concerts for their rich experience and the most beautiful moments, not to mention the luxury and warmth of the two special venues and the warm welcome they offered during the dazzling evenings.
50th National Day concerts
To mark the special occasion of the 50th UAE National Day golden jubilee celebrations, the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre hosted popular Emirati singers Balqees and Fayez Al Saeed on Dec.1, 2021.
In Sharjah city, Al Majaz Amphitheatre hosted popular Emirati pianist and singer Hussain Al Jassmi on December 3, 2021 in what turned out to be a musical and cultural extravaganza. Jassmi was joined on stage by singers Faisal Al Jasim, Mohammed Al Menhali and Almas.
Sard Al Makan – Narratives of the Place
To celebrate Sharjah’s extraordinary journey and accomplishments over the past fifty years under the leadership of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Al Majaz Amphitheatre hosted the epic, Sard Al Makan – Narratives of the Place, an immersive and experiential theatrical production on Jan.25, 2022.
The grand production transformed the Amphitheatre into a breathtaking spectacle of attractive visuals, poetry, and theatre to bring alive the history of the emirate including its historic locations, people, and achievements through a blend of poetry and narration. Sard Al Makan – Narratives of the Place brought together more than top international artists, performers, and playwrights to document Sharjah’s journey and offer a peek into its future.
The organisers stressed that the primary aim of artistic and cultural events and activities in Sharjah is to promote and cultivate artistic sensibilities and appreciation of arts in the country.
Al Majaz Amphitheatre and the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre have emerged as two of most popular cultural and entertainment destinations in the UAE, hosting world-class cultural events and concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists and superstars from across the Arab world and around the world.
A report late last year said the UAE’s 50th National Day celebrations, organised by the Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee, kickstarted at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre in the eastern coastal city of Sharjah, with the staging of a brilliant operetta, The Jubilee of Pride.
