Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez shuts down dating rumours with actor

Hollywood actor and musician Johnny Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez, has shut down rumours about dating her client.

The 37-year-old lawyer has become a popular figure and social media sensation among Depp fans by defending the actor in the case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Depp’s supporters created memes portraying Vasquez as Marvel’s Thor, and even posted TikToks set to romantic music of the pair holding hands and talking closely.

Vasquez confronted the news that fans and media show that she was romantically involved with Depp.

"I guess that comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job," she told the media.

“It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny – who is a friend and I have known and have maintained for four and a half years now — that my interactions were in any way inadequate or unprofessional.

It's disappointing to hear.”

Vasquez also said that she “cares very deeply” about her clients “and we have obviously become close but when I say us, I mean the whole team, and of course that includes Johnny.”

Vasquez told the media that her work is her love. 

She said, “My work is my love and when I love, I really love deeply."

With that the lawyer finally dropped the bombshell news, which made Depp fans a little upset.

She revealed that she has a boyfriend and that they are very happy in their relationship.

“It is unethical for a lawyer to date their client…”

 “It’s unfortunate and it’s disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.”

According to the media, Vasquez was elevated to partner at her firm Brown Rudnick after winning the Depp-Heard trial because of the key role she played as a member of the legal team.
